I want to buy a new car. What full-sized sedan has the best value on the market today? Any recommendations?
Suggest:
I do several things before buying a new car.
1st, I come up with a list of about 5 models that I like.
2nd, I check Consumer Reports (C.R.) to see what they have to say about those models. C.R. accepts no advertising and no donations of products, so you get an honest opinion. And once per year, they survey their readers (something like 300,000 respond to the survey) on repair histories of autos. Reading their mag, is a lot better than asking a couple of buddies what cars they like (how many have they bought?).
3rd I check with my car insurance agent. You will be surprised at how much insurance rates vary based upon which make

How hard is it to buy a used car with NO credit? When is the best time to buy a used car??
I am sick of my 95 accord, I want something newer. Is it hard to buy a used car with no credit? I plan on putting down at least 8k, and the car I want is about 15k.
And also, when is the best time to buy a used car??
Suggest:
Do your homework first. I’m assuming you’re buying a used car. Go to edmonds.com and get the trade in value of the car you want to buy. That will be pretty close to what the dealer paid for it. Go on the next to the last weekend of the month and test drive it. When the salesperson ask you if you are buying today tell them you might if you find the deal you want. Do not go inside the building. Write down the vin #, milage and features of the vehicle. Give the salesperson your home/work # and tell them you will be in touch sometime next week. Under no circumstances are you to buy that car on this first trip. Leave. On Tuesday call that particular salesperson if they haven’t called you first. Tell him you appreciate the time he took with you and you are still trying to decide if you want his car or someone elses. Find a couple of cars just like it on cars.com that are within 50 miles. Go to a bank/credit union and get preapproved for a loan 10% more than what they are asking for the car. Friday night, call the salesperson and let him know that you want to look at that car again in the morning and find out what time he will be there. Show up at the dealer 30 minutes after you tell him you will be there. Inspect the car again and tell the sales person you would like to buy today if a deal can be reached. Armed with the price the dealer is likely to have paid for that vehicle offer him 10% more than what he paid for it buy saying

Do Euro cars need a safety?
Over here in Canada every time a car changes owner it has to go for a safety test before it can be registered for street use. Do cars in Europe have to go through a safety test every time they are resold or can someone just buy an old clunker and register it the way it is?
Suggest:
The answer probably varies from country to country in Europe. But in England, for example, there is no requirement that the car be reinspected when it is sold. But it must have a current inspection at the time of sale. Based on my experiences in Eastern Europe I am pretty certain that most countries there do not require a pre-sale safety inspection.
Here is an article from the Guardian on

Tips for buying my first car? ?
I’d like a used car, cheaper than $6,000. I want something that is fuel efficient and safe. I know I might be asking for too much but I’d like to know what are some good cars out there for that price. Also, what should I know when I buy my car? I want a small 4/5 person car since I’ll be using it for my personal use (traveling to work, shopping, camping, etc).
Suggest:
Use websites like cars.com, autotrader.com to find out what is available in your price range.
Remember that car dealers make more money off used cars then new cars. With the recent gas crisis and adjustments in resale values, getting accurate values for cars is difficult. I like to use Edmunds to research cars and ask quesitons. They also have articles on how to buy cars: http://www.edmunds.com/caradvice.html. I would suggest reading these articles to prepare yourself.
Alos here is a link to a forum where experts can tell you the TRUE value of the car you are interested in buying. the folks on that forum are car salemen who buy used cars for their dealership. Follow the information they ask for near the bottom of the page: http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/WebX/.e…
Good luck
